“You are now at a crossroads. This is your opportunity to make the most important decision you will ever make. Forget your past. Who are you now? Who have you decided you really are now? Don’t think about who you have been. Who are you now? Who have you decided to become? Make this decision consciously. Make it carefully. Make it powerfully.” Anthony Robbins. Windows or Apple: Which Is Best?

What was life like before we had computers?

Even as late as the mid-1980s to early 1990s, computers were puzzles only the geekiest of us bothered to solve. That all changed with Microsoft’s Windows technology and Apple’s Macintosh.

Suddenly, interfaces were intuitive, and you didn’t need to have a degree in computer science in order to operate them.

Any user could operate a computer with ease, and soon, almost every household had one.

The Internet became the next great communication development and “virtual reality,” and computer sales took off.

Today, most of us don’t know what we would do without our computers.

Apple MacintoshWhat was life like before we had computers?

Even as late as the mid-1980s to early 1990s, computers were puzzles only the geekiest of us bothered to solve. That all changed with Microsoft’s Windows technology and Apple’s Macintosh.

Suddenly, interfaces were intuitive, and you didn’t need to have a degree in computer science in order to operate them.

Any user could operate a computer with ease, and soon, almost every household had one.

The Internet became the next great communication development and “virtual reality,” and computer sales took off.

Today, most of us don’t know what we would do without our computers.

Which is the best, though? Windows or Apple? In a word, Windows. Here are three reasons why:

  • The start bar
Ever since Windows 95, the start bar has been a part of every package. It’s a simple way to launch any program, anytime, with one simple click.
  • The taskbar
While Apple’s “dock” may look more attractive, Windows taskbar remains the easiest way to access all of your most often used programs – again, with one easy click. Simply “pin” desired programs to the taskbar, and you’ve just upped your efficiency significantly.
  • Jump lists
Right-click any program on the taskbar, and you’ll see a list of recently opened files for a particular program. These “jump lists” make revisiting any documents you recently worked on or any sites you may have recently visited (such as in Firefox, my favorite browser) a breeze, and can be a very big timesaver.
